Ensure design compliance with respective client/company specification and codes.
Develop civil/structural 3D models and 2D extractions under minimal supervision utilizing AutoCAD and CADWorx
Knowledgeable of basic civil material specifications to the extent that all information required for material purchase, fabrication and construction is reflected on the finished drawings.
Perform field related work collecting design information and verifying designs for tie-ins, function and clearances to existing facility.
Perform field support activities, where assigned, for engineering support during construction.
Ability to check and back check drawings produced by drafting personnel.
Interact with designers and engineers within the civil/structural group, and from other disciplines, in a team environment to create multi-discipline design packages for construction forces.
Works with client to resolve problems.
Work within company policy as outlined in the H+M Employee Handbook as well as the H+M Safety Manual, H+M Work Processes and OSHA Safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager as needed.
Essential Qualifications
4+ years of AutoCAD experience in heavy industrial projects
Utilize 3D laser scans as a modeling and design tool
Experience providing modeling/design support for small to mid-capital projects
Knowledgeable understanding and efficiency with standard design and drafting practices
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Sit for long periods of time
Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
