Core Job Responsibilities
Interpret complex sketches, redlines, specification outlines, or logic diagrams to prepare drawings of systems, structures, equipment, plant components or assemblies
Prepare advanced level drawings related to plant and/or pipeline system maps, right-of-way, property plats, legal property descriptions, elevation, drainage, and earth movement according to industry and company specifications and standards with the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Prepare advanced level drawings related to Process Safety Management (PSM) items including: Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs), Plot Plans, and Electrical Area Classification with the assistance of CAD software.
Prepare advanced-level design drawings including, but not limited to: civil/structural, instrument & electrical, and/or controls while adhering to prevailing industry standards with the assistance of CAD software
Prepare drawings including, but not limited to: environmental, highway and/or railroad crossing with the assistance of CAD software
Responsible for maintenance of CAD standards and “as-built” drawings
Responsible for document control including, but not limited to: vendor transmittals, structure of format, drawing “check-in and check-out” and the coordination of drawing sets
Responsible for creation and maintenance of databases for site plans, CAD drawings, maps, and various other documents
Check and review drawings for accuracy and consistency of standards
Essential Qualifications
Extensive experience in the use and function of drafting tools and office equipment applicable to position
Extensive experience drawing, posting, and/or plotting maps, plats, legal descriptions, and diagrams that usually comes with five years of drafting experience
Experience and advanced knowledge with 2D and 3D AutoCAD and CADWorx.
Experience in the following areas: engineering/piping design, natural gas compression/processing, natural gas liquid (NGL) movement and/or fractionation, use of coordinates and/or plane survey systems, drawing standards
Experience preparing and interpreting job orders and completion reports and use of 3D pipe specifications, diagrams and programs
Experience reading, interpreting, and/or preparing written information including: government regulations, building codes, Process Industry Practices (PIP), and other applicable industry codes
Physical Requirements
Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Sit for long periods of time
Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
