For this EPC dock project, we overlapped detail engineering and design with construction to expedite a stringent schedule while meeting client expectations.
Our client aimed for an overall increase in their import/export capabilities for product lines, including liquified petroleum gas (LPG), gasoline, and ethylene. To achieve this, the client needed to upgrade the structure and technology of multiple docks.
We knew there was a need to provide something unique in terms of design to accomplish the expected capabilities for the client. Additionally, H+M worked closely with a third party to develop a firewater and dock safety equipment study to ensure that CFR codes and regulations were appropriately met. We delivered engineering, design, and construction services for a new and innovative multi-level ship and barge loading structure.
